For winter coats that require long zippers, there are two-way coat zippers (sometimes called dual zippers) that zip from the top down and bottom-up. If you need a heavy-duty zipper for a leather coat, construction gear, or other heavy weight apparel, consider a #10 gauge zipper. #10 zippers are heavy-weight and very durable. For a coat that needs a medium-weight zipper, consider trying a #5 gauge.
